How to make a QR code
Enter or paste the exact text or web address you want encoded. Select Generate QR code, then download the PNG. For a web page, include the full address starting with https://. Without the protocol, a scanner may treat it as plain text.
Content, size and safety
The tool encodes what you enter. It does not visit a URL or check whether the content is correct or safe. Check the text and scan the code before sharing or printing it. The destination of a QR code can change later.
The limit is 1,000 UTF-8 bytes, rather than 1,000 characters. Accents and emoji may use multiple bytes. The PNG uses eight pixels per QR module, a four-module white border and level M error correction. More content usually produces a larger, denser code. The shown pixel dimensions describe the file, not guaranteed readability at a particular print size. PNG is a raster image; enlarging it can blur edges, while a tiny or compressed version may be hard to scan.
Kept in this tab
Input and image are handled in the current browser tab. This tool does not send input to a server or save it for another visit. Changing the input removes the old code and download. Reloading or closing the tab also loses anything you have not downloaded.
